Sneak peek of Ugadi releases

Ugadi the Telugu New year marks the beginning of Spring season and also a second season for film industry in AndhraPradesh, followed by Sankranthi. Here is a short account on the most anticipated films queued up for release on this Telugu New Year day (Chaitra Neethana Virodhi Nama Samvathsaram)

‘Aakashamantha’ starring Trisha and Prakashraj, based on the theme of 20 years of endearing relationship between a father and his daughter, is ‘Dil’Raju’s produce, in the direction of Radha Mohan.

‘Manorama’ stars Charmme in the lead, directed by Eeshwar Reddy for Zee Motion Pictures. Touted as a romantic thriller, it is a heroine centric film promising fresh and distinct kind of entertainment.

‘Ananda Thandavam’ starring Thamanna in the lead, is the Telugu version of the Tamil film produced by Aascar Ravichandran in the direction of Gandhi Krishna. The story is an adaptation from a novel, which is heroine centric, and carries a message for those craving to settle outside their homeland.

Sriram and Prithviraj as two sincere police officers ‘Police Police’ is all about their ideologies and approach in dealing with various situations in their profession. The movie is also said to include some real life incidents. Directed by Manmohan it is produced by Chandu.

‘Samrajyam’ starring Srihari in the lead is a love story commingled with factionism. Unlike most of the faction based story this story votes for love over hatred. Muthyala Anjaneyulu is producing it in the direction of Veeru Dwait.

‘Budhimanthudu’ starring Upendra in a variety of looks with five heroines, is dubbing version of ‘Buddhivantha’ made in Kannada, which in turn is a remake of ‘Naan Avanillai’ (Tamil). This biggest hit of 2008 directed by Ramnath, is being brought for Telugu audience by P.Hanumanth Reddy and H. Lakshmikanth Reddy.

This year it seems to be like a big time for Lady Stars, as the big heroes have missed on it keeping themselves busy with upcoming general election campaigns.

Kiran Reddy to cinematograph Ramcharan’s flick

Ramcharan is one busy star in Tollywood with projects lining up his way. Even before his second film got over under the direction of SS Rajamouli, he has signed up for a new flick to be directed by ‘Bommarillu’ Bhaskar.

The home production house Anjana productions will make the film that will probably go to the floors this month.

A trained professional cinematographer, Kiran Reddy from USA has been roped in to be the director of photography for this Ramcharan’s third film.

The debutant cinematographer of the thriller flick ‘Ms. Goldman’ (2004), K. Kiran Reddy is said to have co-directed by ‘Naach’ besides Ram Gopal Varma. He got a wide recognition for his fresh and appealing cinematography in the film.

With talented crew coming together, Ram Charan’s third is also expected to be a box office hit.

‘Magadheera’ and ‘Gharana Mogudu’ – Sentimental Clouds on April 9th

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s blockbuster hit ‘Gharana Mogudu’ was released on April 9th decades back and for obvious reasons, the makers of ‘Magadheera’ starring Ram Charan Tej, Chiru’s son have marked the auspicious date for the release of the film.

Director SS Rajamouli has made ‘Maghadheera’ starring Ramcharan Tej and Kajal Agarwal in the lead cast. The film is being produced by Allu Arvind on Geetha Arts banner which is in the last leg of production.

The post production work will be carried out soon and the film will hit screens on April 9th. Production house strongly believes that the goodwill of the date will make ‘Magadheera’ a blockbuster hit as it did for Ram Charan’s father, Chiru.

Ravi Babu’s forthcoming films - ‘Amaravathi’ and ‘Agent Gopi’

The hit film ‘Allari’ was Ravi Babu’s maiden venture that bought wide fame for Naresh. He followed with hits like ‘Ammayilu Abbailu’, ‘Anasuya’ and the latest being ‘Nachchavule’ starring a debutant lead cast.

The film with its distinct style of promos garnered the attention of the crowd and became a hit at the box office. He is now set to director two films which are uniquely titled as ‘Amaravathi’ and ‘Agent Gopi’. Script for both these flicks is ready and the production work will commence shortly.

Ravi Babu is known for his clean entertainers and with two films in the line we can expect him to enthrall us once again with his style of direction.

Young Indians’ group of Indian Business School organized a two day National Conference 2009 which commenced on 14th February, Saturday. The inaugural day witnessed a big list of experts and celebrities from different areas including Social rights forum, TV, Cinema, Civil Services, Sports, and so on… The prominent people addressed the young crowd and expressed their views about the changes which are mandatory to take place within 15 years for a brighter future.

On behalf of cinema industry, Ram Charan Tej, during the function addressed the congregation. The young star during the inspiring speech said, “In present days, talented persons are getting recognized in film industry. Music composer AR Rahman has now attained a global recognition and is making India proud. Albeit our films are made for entertainment, audiences have embraced creative and motivating films like ‘Chak De India’ and ‘Tare Zameen Par’ which has no star promotion nor commercialism. It reflects audiences matured taste for entertainment and with the 15 years to come, our talents will sure shine bright going places worldwide.”

Ramcharan Tej's next begins 15th March

Ramcharan Teja on the verge of completing his ongoing project has signed for a new film to be directed by Bhaskar. Nagababu will produce the film on Anjana Productions which will go to the floors on 15th March.

Ramcharan is now working for SS Rajamouli's 'Magadheera' starring Kajal Agarwal as heroine. After rendering a blockbuster hit 'Ghajini', Allu Arvind is making this project on a high budget on Geetha Arts banner. Production work for this film is nearing completion and is slated for a summer release this year.

He will start for his latest film once the makers finalize the cast and crew. Further details about the film are awaited.

Hero RamCharan’s new film titled ‘Magadheera’ is now progressing at a brisk pace. The film has Kajal Agarwal as heroine and Sri Hari is the villain.

The film has many big fighting scenes with sword and big horse chases. Ram Charan has undergone extensive training in sword fights and horse chases for the film.

Director SS Rajamouli has just completed a big fight scene involving RamCharan and Sri Hari The fight has been filmed over a period of 30 days and the director is confident that it will be the highlight of the file

The mega power star Ram Charan Teja had his debut with the movie “Chirutha” pairing with the debut girl Neha Sharma and has the movie a hit one. He is now pairing with the hot beauty Kajal in his next venture with the title “Dheerudu” and the most of its shooting was been finished

except two songs. The makers were in a way to Paris for the shooting of the songs but the Producer of the flick said no to Paris and finalized to shoot them in the Ramoji Film City. The reason for the change is that the present budget crossed the planned budget and canceled the Paris tour. The movie “Dheerudu” was been Produced by the famous Producer Allu Aravind and was been directed by the well known and the tough task manager SS Rajamouli.
