Needalu – A film on human trafficking

Prajwala – a non-governmental social welfare organization with the sole purpose to deteriorate trafficking of children and women is making many steps for the goal among which one of them is making socially motivating films for a cause.

Earlier, they made the films ‘Of Freedom and Fear’ (English and Telugu), ‘Astha’ (English), ‘Anamika’ (English and Telugu) and few others which talks about different subjects including children affected by HIV, women survivors from brothels, poverty stricken community etc…

Now, ‘Needalu’ is the new film in the list which speaks about the feelings and emotions of a victim of sexual slavery. The protagonist of the film is a real life survivor who narrates about the life in the dark world filled with perverse clientele and physical, mental abuse. Made on a first person perspective, the film is produced by Parjwala association and directed by Rajesh Touchriver , founder of Prajwala. Music is composed by Vijay Kuraakula, Art direction by Kudavatour Sunil and cinematography by Sadat. The cast is by Sree Mani, Sravana Jyothi and Sunil Raghav.
